Our Secure Locking Mailbox model AB14B is constructed of 14 gauge electro galvanized steel. This mailbox will stand up to a great deal of abuse and has twice the tensile strength of aluminum. The size of the mailbox is 11.5” wide X 12” high X 20.5” long. The storage capacity of this mailbox will allow several weeks of mail to be held in case you are away on vacation and the welded construction gives superior strength for high security. USPS Approved.

One of the greatest features of this mailbox is the 14 gauge reinforced locking door and housing. The top edge of the mailbox housing has a 90 degree angle formed top edge which provides maximum rigidity and increases the stiffness of the top of the mailbox edge. This reinforcement will help when someone tries to pry open the mailbox. When other locking mailboxes fail to stop thieves the AB14B will make would be thieves frustrated and go to the next mailbox.

For even more security this mailbox has an internally reinforced retrieval door to resist deformation when someone tries to pry it open. The wedge lock system which is also integrated into the structure makes forces, like prying, absorbed by the structure of the mailbox and not on the lock.

The tapered nose tubular key lock minimizes the chances someone might try to pick your lock. This is the type of lock you will see on many soda machines, which vendors have to stop someone from breaking in. Many times when a would be thief is planning on stealing your mail when they see that it is a locking mailbox they just keep on going to the next mailbox which is not locked.
